Cucina Restaurant Arrangements

The Halley Academy logo

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing with some updates to our catering arrangements as from Monday 15th March. We continue our partnership with Cucina who provide all of our on-site catering to both students and staff.

We are happy to announce that our breakfast provision will resume for all students from 7:30am each morning in the Gym for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 and the Restaurant for students in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13. Students are able to buy a range of breakfast items to set them up for their day of learning, with products ranging from free porridge to a bacon roll.  Please click here to view the breakfast menu.

In addition to the above service, students in Key Stages 4 and 5 are able to purchase items at the end of the academy day from the Restaurant and, if there is the demand, we will extend this to other year groups in the future.

For all purchases before and after the academy day, the Cucina team will accept cash payment. This is to ensure that students do not exceed their daily allocation on their account. Cash will not be accepted for items bought at break and/or lunch time. All items are priced to ensure value for money for our students. Should students wish to buy food before or after the academy day, we encourage them to purchase this on-site to ensure the food they consume holds good nutritional value.

Our break and lunch time provision will continue as per our arrangements during Module 2, with purchased items being deducted from student accounts. Please ensure that your child’s account is in credit via ParentPay.

Please click here for further information on the Free School Meals allowance.  This can currently only be used at lunchtime and cannot be used at breakfast, break time or after school.

If you have any questions regarding any of this information, please contact us using the central email address admin@thehalleyacademy.org.uk.

Yours faithfully

Hannah Sharma | Deputy Principal
