Dear Parents and Carers
As we approach the end of Module 2, I am writing to inform you of the arrangements for the remaining weeks. On Friday 10th December, we will hold our Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for charity. Students may wear a festive themed jumper for the day over their academy uniform. Those that do wear a jumper do not have to wear their blazer on this day, but must wear the rest of their uniform, and bring their PE kit if they have PE on a Friday. Students who participate will be expected to donate £1 to charity. Students will also be able to purchase Christmas lunch on this day.
On the last day of Module 2, Friday 17th December, students must attend in full academy uniform and will follow their normal timetable until 12.15pm, when they will be dismissed by the Leadership Team. Students are to leave the site immediately and no extra-curricular activities will be held on this day.
Students who are entitled to a free school meal will be able to purchase food at break time.
On behalf of all the staff at The Halley Academy, I would like to thank you for your continued support since the start of the academic year, and wish you and your families a very happy and restful Winter break.
The academy re-opens on Tuesday 4th January 2022 at the normal time. Further communication regarding arrangements for the start of Module 3 will follow shortly.
Yours faithfully
John Dixon
Principal
