End of Module Arrangements – Friday 22nd July 2022

Dear Parents/Carers,

As we reach the end of Module 6, which will draw to a close this academic year, I am writing to inform you of the arrangements for the last day of the module. We have had another successful year here at The Halley and I am immensely proud of all of the students’ achievements. As I reflect upon the events of this year, we have truly come together as a community to inspire, learn and achieve.

Friday 22nd July 2022 will be the last day of this academic year. Students must attend in full academy uniform and will follow their normal timetable until 12.15pm, when they will be dismissed by the Leadership Team.

Students who are entitled to a free school meal will be able to purchase food at break time.

A piece of good news to share is that our brand new, state of the art Tallow Chandlers Engineering and Design Centre was formally opened on Wednesday 6th July by members of the esteemed livery company. We are looking forward to affording our students many opportunities to use the industry-standard equipment from September.

Please note that the Academy reopens to Year 7 and Year 12 students on Friday 2nd September 2022 and for all other year groups on Monday 5th September 2022. More information on the start back to the academic year will follow.

On behalf of all the staff at The Halley Academy, I would like to thank you for your continued support throughout this academic year, and wish you and your families a very happy and restful summer break.

Yours faithfully,

John Dixon
Principal
