Dear Parents/Carers,
I am delighted to inform you about our extracurricular offer for Module 6. Extracurricular clubs and activities will give your child the opportunity to further develop their interests and skills in a range of activities.
Extracurricular activities offer opportunities for our students to develop a broad range of skills. Activities outside of the classroom enable students to apply skills they have learned in the classroom, develop a sense of belonging in the academy and improve engagement in learning. Research over many years has found that extracurricular activities have a positive impact on students and their progress. It is an opportunity for students to develop interests, teamwork and self responsibility.
Students who participate will be more active, be faced with less screen time and have the opportunity to improve a range of soft skills that often lead to improved student confidence.
By signing your child up to a club, you agree that your child will adhere to all academy safety and behaviour regulations whilst in clubs, on site and when leaving the site. Please ensure your child is willing to commit to attend all the sessions provided in this module as numbers will be capped at 15 students per club, as outlined in the programme.
Our extracurricular activity programme attached below will begin next week as outlined above, and will continue to grow throughout this academic year, as we continually review student feedback.
If you would like to book an extracurricular activity for your child, please do so using this Extracurricular Programme Booking Form, or via your MCAS account.
Yours faithfully,
Mr R Davis | Deputy Head of Easley School
