Dear Parents & Carers,

The online world is posing an ever-increasing risk to children, and it is important that schools, parents and carers work together to take an active role in teaching children about online dangers.  Learning how to act safely when using the internet is an incredibly important part of safeguarding our children.

We are therefore delighted to announce that The Halley Academy has shown our commitment to protecting our pupils online by working with National Online Safety – providing resources for all Parents and Carers.

To create your account, please follow https://nationalonlinesafety.com/enrol/the-halley-academy and complete your details.  When you are set up, you must set ‘Parent/Carer’ as your user type.

I can recommend that you start your National Online Safety journey by completing the Annual Certificate in Online Safety for Parents & Carers of Children aged 11-14. 

The Halley Academy also sends out weekly National Online Safety guides about online safety to all of our parents and carers.
