Dear Parent/Carer,

Andorra Ski Trip, March 2025

We are in the planning stages of a ski trip for the current Key Stage 3 cohort which will take place next academic year. This trip will be taking place in the resort of Pal Arinsal, Andorra and will run from Saturday 22nd to Saturday 29th March 2025. There are a limited number of spaces (30) available to book, and for this reason, the booking process will be different from that of other trips and there will be strict caveats in place for those wishing to attend. The ski trip will cost £1270 which is inclusive of:

  • 8 days – 7 nights duration
  • Staying at Hotel Sant Gothard, Pal Arinsal for 5 nights – half-board basis (breakfast and lunch for when out on the slopes).  Money will be needed for dinner.
  • Ski tuition 4 hours a day for 5 days
  • 5 day ski lift pass
  • Skis, Boots & Helmet rental
  • Evening entertainments – bowling & soft drinks, Shopping in Andorra La Vella and ice skating
  • Travel by ferry and then by executive coach, to and from Andorra. The coach will collect from and return the group to the Academy.
  • Comprehensive Travel Insurance (including medical insurance)

The total price will be divided into 10 instalments of £106.36 and 1 instalment of £106.94, following an initial non-refundable deposit of £100. This price does not include ski clothing such as jackets, salopettes, gloves, and other clothing needed for this sort of activity. Each instalment, at each stage, is non-refundable.

As this is a reward trip (due to the trip taking place during term time), your child’s place will be dependent on the following criteria being met:

  • Attendance must exceed 95%. Periods of illness caused by covid or other medical needs may be taken into account.
  • Students must be on target in the majority of subjects and if this is not the case they must be engaged with relevant interventions/homework to move towards their targets. Students who are not reaching their target grade may attend the trip if staff acknowledge that the student is working hard in all their lessons.
  • Students must have a good behaviour record with minimal behaviour points and no severe sanctions such as referrals to The Compass or suspensions. An accumulation of sanctions such as Academy Leadership Team detentions will also result in students not being able to attend the trip.

If you would like your child to attend this trip, please register your interest on this Google Form. Following this, you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of £100 on Parent Pay to secure your child’s place.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs H. Panton | Deputy Head of Turing School
