Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to inform you that on Friday 6th October 2023, Box Clever Theatre Company will be visiting the Academy to perform Jekyll and Hyde to our Year 11 students.
Box Clever’s mission is to bring exciting theatre to young people – the audiences of the future- and to involve them in plays, both as audience members, participants and co-creators.
Your child will be expected to attend school at the usual time of 8.30am and will be participating in the performance during their usual Period 3 and Period 4 lesson. Following the performance, students will go to lunch as usual, and then to their Period 5 lesson. Students will leave school at the usual time of 3.10pm. The cost of your child’s ticket is covered by the Academy, free of charge.
This is an exciting opportunity for our GCSE English Literature students as Year 11 are currently studying the novel and will be sitting their Literature Mock Examinations in Module 2.
We hope that you support this endeavour to improve your child’s understanding of, and engagement with, a key literature examination text.
